We are considering adding to our expansive line of stock packaging with a totally new Euro style bag. But before we do we need your help. The original idea of this bag was for it to be used to hold 1-3 wine bottles horizontally. The dimensions of the bag would be 14x6x7x6 and it would be offered in a Matte Ivory finish with cotton rope handles. (See image) We could easily imprint the bag with your logo, to finish off the look you desire. In order to get an idea on what everyone thinks of this new size bag we would love to get some feedback. Please leave us a response if you like the idea or would like to see something a little different. We feel this bag could be a great new alternative to not only your wine packaging needs but it could have many other uses as well.

While 2011 is just getting started we are already seeing some great new products. One of the items that has us really excited is a stock line of Cupcake trays being offered by one of our local manufacturers, Bonita Pioneer. These trays are available in four different sizes for both Standard and Mini cupcakes. These trays can be used in combination with one of our new A La Carte lines or if you would like to create your own look two of the trays, the 4x4x4 and the 10x10x4, will fit perfectly into our standard White Gloss Gift Boxes. 



As I mentioned the trays are designed to work with another new item for 2011, our Patisserie boxes. This line is available in five different box sizes as well as a Small Shopping bag. You can check out our entire line of A La Carte for 2011 here.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Packaging Specialties is proud to have printed special participant bags for this year’s annual Corvallis Clinic Foundation event. 

Puttin’ on the Pink is The Corvallis Clinic Foundation’s premier gala that celebrates survivorship. Cancer survivors take the stage to model on the Barker-Uerlings Pink Carpet runway. Hors d’oeuvres, wine, desserts and an exclusive silent auction are all part of the evening.

Proceeds raised support Project H.E.R., a breast health services program in the Mid-Willamette Valley. Project H.E.R. provides support, education and resources for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and breast cancer survivors from our local community.

We all know that recycling is the right thing to do, whether it is Glass, Cardboard, Aluminum, Paper or Plastic. What most of us may not really know is what happens to these different items once they leave our curb. We were recently given a great video from one of our Plastic Bag manufacturers (Command Packaging) that I believe does an excellent job of showing off the entire process from recapturing the materials to converting them back into bags.

We just received four additional colors of cotton curl in stock. For those not yet familiar with Cotton Curl ribbon it is great to work with, Made in the USA, 100% compostable and recyclable and is a great way to finish off any packaging.
